I had a great time creating this multilayered abstract effort. The textured patterns, geometric shapes & colors peaking through the mist combine in a fun way to brighten the walls.
I used brushes & a palette knife with acrylic paint on a stretched canvas then sealed it to protect the painting & colors. Although it’s unframed, the edges/sides of the canvas are also painted for a finished look.
Layers & layers of patterns & colors developed and evolved into a new world of abstract expression. This painting is 16” x 20”, unframed. Sides are painted & varnished so you can hang it without a frame.
Since I love working with lots of vivid colors, this bright acrylic painting is like nourishment to my soul. Inspired by an inlet on Lake Superior on a crisp Autumn day.
A Giclee reproduction or fine art print is a term often used to mean a digital reproduction of an original piece of work. This is a giclee print of one of Simone's original paintings, which can be ordered in a variety of sizes.
Since I relish working with lots of color, this acrylic effort actually took much more discipline in order to use muted colors to reflect the warmth of the early evening summer sun. I think it’s a great way to brighten a kitchen or dining area wall.
